Boulder’s Emmy nominated Robert Cullen is director of animation on ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’



Dublin based Boulder Media is thrilled to announce their involvement in Cartoon Network Development Studio Europe’s first UK produced full-length animation series commission, ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’. Boulder will associate produce, providing their renowned, top-class animation services for the show.

Created by Ben Bocquelet who is also an Executive Producer, the show is a 40 x 11’ comedy series, combining 2D and 3D animation with live-action footage and photographic backgrounds. BAFTA winner Mic Graves is the series’ director and Boulder’s Emmy nominated Robert Cullen is director of animation.

Gumball is a hyper-active, 10 year old cat who’s trying to squeeze as much fun as possible out of every second in his life. Except his idea of fun is a little odd to some and tends to lead him into a snowballing cycle of chaos.

‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ is being produced for Turner Broadcasting’s Cartoon Network by Dandelion Studios Ltd in association with Boulder Media Ltd. Series’ producer is Joanna Beresford and producers for Boulder are Anne Tweedy and Peter Lewis. Boulder has accessed Section 481 funding for the project and will employ around forty people via its production company, Hawkins Productions.
