Character animator required for an animated TV Series. The ideal candidate will have strong industry character animation experience and Adobe After Effects experience. They should have at least 3 years professional experience in character animation or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities:

• To work closely with the Director and Animation Director.
• To create high quality animation and work well within the creative team.
• To ensure all animation is consistent with the Director’s quality standards of the series.
• To meet deadlines and fully understand the animation workflow.
• To adapt to changing requirements and scene briefs.
• Consistently meet project deadlines in a timely manner without compromising artistic integrity.

Essential Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of character animation and timings.
• Strong drafting skills.
• Thorough understanding and application of classic animation principles (staging, timing, anticipation, follow through, etc.)
• Ability to work within a team, be adaptable, take initiative, manage and give clear instruction to assistants.
• The position requires great attention to detail.
• Computer skills and experience with Adobe After Effects.
• Proficiency in Photoshop / Flash / Other software a bonus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks is crucial.
