Dublin-based animation studio JAM Media is celebrating two Bafta nominations for their creation 'Roy'.

The multi-award-winning, 26-part series which was commissioned by the BBC has been a huge hit with audiences and critics alike.
Based on the short film 'Badly Drawn Roy', the series centers around the only cartoon boy in the world and is a celebration of what it's like to be different. The series was created by Alan Shannon and produced by Mark Cumberton.
"The series speaks to all children in that everyone has at one time of another felt different. Roy is a humourous take on this theme." commented John Rice, CEO, JAM Media. "We're absolutely thrilled to be nominated.
Roy has sold all over the world and is proving to be a ratings winner in many territories. This innovative show combines live action and animation to produce a never before seem format.
Roy has been nominated in the Best Childrens Drama catagory and Best Writer catagory.
Jam Media's properties include Picme and Funky Fables. The companies shows have sold to over 90 territories and have been translated into over 20 languages. JAM emplys over 30 artists from their studio on Kevin St in Dublin.
