Kavaleer Productions was founded in November 2001. The studio’s early work in filmmaking garnered awards from Portugal to China and secured official selection in 100 international festivals on five continents. In 2004, Kavaleer moved to their current home at Dublin’s Digital Hub, placing the studio at the heart of Ireland’s digital media sector and giving the studio a highly competitive edge through a number of strategic technological partnerships. Since then the studio has developed a bespoke facility in their Catherine’s Lane premises with a full slate of animation production services at their clients’ disposal. Over the past five years Kavaleer has married an ever-expanding list of commercial activities with a strategic IP development slate. With a diverse client list that includes as Cartoon Network, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Group and Irish Distillers, Kavaleer have successfully produced TV pilots, e-learning content and high-end commercials. Additionally Kavaleer have co-produced the RTE children’s series ‘Lifeboat Luke’ (with Straandlooper) and launch their first full length TV series ‘Garth and Bev’ in partnership with Halifax-based Copernicus Studios and BBC Worldwide later this year. Their next show ‘So Mortified!’ (with TVLoonland) is slated for production in 2010 and the crew are already engaged with exciting new show concepts for 2011 and beyond.
